Haymoor Bottom
A heathland site that’s a haven for a wide variety of wildlife.
Although now broken up by housing, Haymoor Bottom was historically part of the larger Canford Heath. The nature reserve links to the larger Sherborn open space.

Entrance
There are entrances to Haymoor Bottom on Sherborn Crescent and Verity Crescent. The nearest postcode is BH17 8TJ.
Parking
There is limited parking on roads near the reserve.
Dogs
Dogs must be on a short lead when livestock is near and during the bird breeding season from 1 March to 31 July. At other times dogs must be under close control.
Habitats
Open heathland and grassland with areas of landscaped woodland and open water.
Look out for
Common lizards, invertebrates, green hairstreak butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, frogs, newts and woodland birds.
