Take the 2.4km trail through this leafy woodland site.

Follow the woodland paths through Delph Woods and over footbridges across shallow streams. Then relax or picnic on the grassy area opposite the cricket ground.

There are entrances to the woods at Gravel Hill and Castleman trailway. The nearest postcode is BH21 3BJ.

Parking

Delph Woods has limited free parking that you can reach from Gravel Hill next to Blackwater Drive. There’s a small car park near the cricket ground and another in the woodland at the end of the lane.

Dogs

Dogs must be on a short lead when livestock is near and during the bird breeding season from 1 March to 31 July. At other times dogs must be under close control.

Habitats

Mixed woodland, ponds, ditches and streams.

Look out for

You may spot tree-nesting birds and bats, including the rare Bechstein's bat. The woodland trail will also take you past a 200-year-old oak.
