Creekmoor and Merley (Castlemain) Trailway
The Creekmoor to Merley Trailway (also known as Castlemain Trailway) runs from Roman Road to the A3489 near the Willet Arms pub in Merley.
The trailway is a popular cycling route and forms part of the larger Castleman Trailway, which runs from Upton Country Park and extends towards Ashley Heath.
Entrance
There are entrances at the car park in Delph Woods off Gravel Hill, the car park at the Willet Arms off Oakley Hill and Roman Road from Upton Country Park. The nearest postcode is BH18 9LA.
Parking
There is no parking at the trailway.
Dogs
Dogs must be on a short lead when livestock is near and during the bird breeding season from 1 March to 31 July. At other times dogs must be under close control.
Habitat
Much of the land is now semi-natural, secondary vegetation, typically scrub or woodland.
Look out for
Common woodland species and bats, including the pipistrelle and brown long-eared bat. You may also hear tawny owls in several locations along the trailway.
