Support and financial assistance after the proposed closure of Parkfield School

The Trust is aware that this decision will be disappointing for the children and their families. There will be a named point of contact at the school who will provide support with the transfer process and other issues that may arise. The Trust is also sensitive to other needs that families may raise.

The school will also be providing a comprehensive package of support for staff of the school in partnership with its mental health and wellbeing partner, Place2Be. They will help staff support the children in their daily interactions, offer group support, individual support meetings and a response service for those children that need someone to talk to.

Financial assistance for new uniform

Parents and carers are advised that the Trust intends to support families when transferring to new schools by providing grants for new uniform.

Assistance with the costs of home to school transport

Appropriate assistance with the costs of home to school transport will be made available in line with the our home to school transport policy and eligibility criteria. Further information will be made available following the allocation of alternative school places to individual children and families.
