Stour Valley Water Meadows
Mainly meadow with hedges and copses of trees and a network of paths with views over the River Stour, this nature park will be a great place for a stroll or cycle and to spot wildlife.
In warmer weather you can spot waterfowl, and maybe kingfishers and otters. There are also lots of other birds and insects.
There will be a car park just off Taylor Drive, a short walk away, along with cycle stands at the entrances. Two cycle paths run through the site, on from Watery Lane to Throop Road, linking Stour Valley water meadows with the Stour Valley Nature Reserve, and one from the road to the weir bridge of the River Stour.
The gravel paths are suitable for wheelchairs.
Work has begun at Stour Valley water meadows with plans to open late summer 2023.
