Ask for a Stage 3 complaint review or contact the Local Ombudsman
If your complaint still has not been resolved at Stage 2 and you want to take it further, you can ask the complaints team for a Stage 3 review. You must let us know within 20 working days of getting your Stage 2 response.
If we go ahead with a Stage 3 review, you will be invited to a review panel meeting. Others involved in the Stage 2 process will also be there. The Panel will review how your complaint has been managed so far and may make further suggestions about how to resolve your complaint.
This process should take around 2 months, but if it is going to take longer, we will let you know.
Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman
If you have been through all of these stages and still feel your complaint has not been resolved, you can ask the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman to review your complaint.
The Ombudsman does not take sides and it is a free service, but expects you to have given us a chance to deal with your complaint in a reasonable amount of time, before you contact them.
