Economic Development Team

Our Economic Development Team are responsible for a range of activities such as:

  • strategic planning
  • promote economic growth
  • attract new investment
  • support and engage with businesses
  • enhance the overall economic prosperity of the region

Environmental Health

Our Environmental Health Team protects public health, safety and the environment.

This includes:

  • Overseeing food safety and hygiene standards
  • pest control
  • licensing
  • air and water quality
  • waste management
  • housing standards
  • enforcing warnings
  • notices and legal orders

Anti-Social Behaviour Team

Our Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Team work to proactively address and prevent incidents which cause disruption or harm to our communities or that undermine quality of life.

Their work includes:

  • Investigation and response to reports of ASB
  • work with individuals or groups to improve behaviours
  • enforcement of warning notices and legal orders
  • partnership work
  • victim support

Community Safety Team

Our Community Safety team are Dedicated to the wellbeing and security of residents and businesses they work to:

  • Implement strategies and initiatives to prevent crime
  • engage with communities and businesses to understand their concerns
  • monitoring and analysis
  • partnership working
  • youth engagement and intervention

Licencing

Our Licencing Team are responsible for regulating various licenced activities and premises within the region.

Their duties include:

  • consideration and processing licencing applications
  • compliance monitoring
  • work with partner agencies (Dorset Police, Environmental Health)
  • address issues and concerns at licenced premises
  • policy development

Our partners

St Mungo’s

St Mungo’s homelessness charity work across the UK, including the BCP area, to provide a range of support and services to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Key services they offer include: Outreach and accommodation services, working with individuals and families to prevent homelessness.

Bournemouth BID

The Bournemouth Business Improvement District (BID) is focused on enhancing the economic vitality and growth of Bournemouth town centre.

Their main objectives include: Promoting and marketing the area, its businesses and events, supporting and networking with existing businesses and attracting new ones , developing tourism and enhancing the physical appearance/ appeal of the area.

WISE Litter Enforcement

The work of WISE Litter Enforcement aims to tackle littering and improve environmental cleanliness across the BCP area.

Typically, their work includes: Enforcing littering regulations, raising awareness and educating on the issue, working with partners to ensure best practice and analysing data to understand trends and developing policy.
