There is no set maintenance schedule for benches. They are kept in good condition and have repairs when necessary. Certain repairs will be prioritised such as broken or damaged seating that may cause harm to a visitor. The cost of the bench helps to support this care and repair.

If your bench needs to be repaired, please email commemorate@bcpcouncil.gov.uk with the seat ID number from your agreement, or the location using co-ordinates or the What 3 Words app. Please include a description of the repairs needed and a photo if possible.

If you are not able to locate your bench, please email us. It could be that it has been removed for repair.

If your bench has been removed and is beyond repair we will attempt to find another existing bench as near to your location as possible. We always try to inform you of any removals but in some urgent cases this may not be possible.
