Check our Age Friendly training directory for information about courses and who to get in touch with if you're interested.

Engagement

World Health Organisation sets out 4 stages for Age Friendly Communities to follow when planning to be an Age Friendly community.

The First step is Engage and Understand, in this step the importance of working with and listening to older residents is highlighted.

The BCP Age Friendly Network have shared their examples of Age Friendly Engagement in the Engagement Plan. This document aims to share best practice and support organisations to involve residents in reviewing and planning services.

Funding

BCP Council and the Community Action Network have a funding portal to explore your funding options.

Forum meetings

The Age Friendly Network has regular face to face forum meetings. These meetings take place twice a year, with invitations sent out through the Age Friendly Newsletter.
