Street Food Corner facilities and waste
Electricity
The Lower Gardens pitches have a limited electricity supply. Each pitch has a separate 16Amp (approximately 4kW) commando (round pin) sockets inside the cabinet.
You must tell us if you will be using the electricity when you book a pitch, the cost is included in the pitch fee but there is no discount if you are using your own power source.
We will confirm the padlock code on the electricity cabinet when you book.
You will have to supply your own cables, adequate and pre-approved, cable protection for trailing leads (to avoid trip hazards).
If you try to run electric grills or other high power catering devices, you will break the power system and we will charge you for any electrician call-out fees.
Electrical equipment
All equipment must have in-date test certificates.
A Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certificate for electrical equipment and a current Gas Safety Certificate are required.
It is a legal requirement to have separate sinks in your unit:
- one for utensils
- another for you and your staff to wash your hands
Hand sanitising gels are not an accepted means of washing hands.
Water and toilets
Water is not available on site and traders must not collect water from any facility, all units must be self-contained.
The nearest public toilets are at the pier.
End of the day clear down
Pitches must be cleared and tidied at the end of each day and you must be off site by 11pm in the summer.
All waste, including water from sinks and oils, must be removed at the end of the day from the sites.
