Christchurch Quay is on the north side of the River Stour, a short stroll from Christchurch Priory's gardens. The paths lead you past historic buildings and locations including Place Mill, dating from the 12th century.

Boats are available for hire and there is a ferry service to the opposite bank of the river at Wick from Easter to October. Mini-golf and a wishing well are also found on the Quay and on the south side of the river you will find Tuckton Tea Gardens and paths which lead to Christchurch Wick, a nature reserve with links to Hengistbury Head.

Quomps

The area known as the Quomps, complete with bandstand and large reserve, is a popular picnic spot and used for many of the town’s festivals and events. The Quomps also features a children’s water play area known as the Splash Park.
