We have 3 accessible beach huts, available for hire on Boscombe beach.
The inside of each hut is a highly adaptable and flexible space capable of accommodating up to 4 wheelchair users at once.
Before you hire an accessible beach hut
Before you hire an accessible beach hut you must read through our terms and conditions, and ensure:
- any gas bottles (up to 6kg) that you bring with you comply with safety guidelines, as we will no longer be providing them
- keys are returned to us by 5pm on the final Friday of your hire period
How to hire an accessible beach hut
You can hire an accessible beach hut using our online booking system.
You can create create an account to store details for future bookings. If you have booked a beach hut or pod before January 2025, you will need to create a new account.
You can also hire an accessible beach hut by phone on 01202 123 800. You can call us between:
- 9:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
- 9:30am and 4pm, Saturday and Sunday
You can also hire a beach hut for a day. They will only be available as walk-ins at selected locations, and will not be bookable online or in advance.
You can only hire a daily hut in person at the Tourist Information Centre at Bournemouth Pier Approach. Prices vary based on the time of year and start from £19.
Features of our accessible beach huts
Each hut comes equipped with:
- 4 directors chairs
- a table
- split level work surface
- cupboards
There are also nearby public facilities, such as:
- shared fresh drinking water tap
- electric mobility scooter charging point and accessible parking bays
- internal shower unit
- toilet and sink
- Changing Places facility incorporating change bed
- ceiling mounted tracking hoist (access key from nearby Boscombe beach office)
- beach access wheelchair (from Boscombe beach office)
Please note, the wheelchair is available on a first come first served basis and a fully refundable £50 cash deposit is required. No wheelchair bookings can be made in advance.
A connecting partition wall can be removed, opening out a pair of huts into one unit for large group hire.
Boscombe beach has Mobi-Mats to help wheelchair users move easily from the promenade onto the sand and closer to the sea between May and September.
Cost of hire
Our prices vary based on the date and how long you want to hire the beach hut.
We offer beach huts for:
- £675 in the winter (25 weeks) from 27 September 2025 to 20 March 2026
- £3,706 for full spring and summer (24 weeks) from 5 April to 19 September 2025
- £1,679 for peak summer (10 weeks) from 28 June to 5 September 2025
We will also be offering beach huts for 1 week or longer from 5 April to 19 September 2025, from just £119 a week. These can be booked from Thursday 20 February 2025 from 10am.
