Recycling centre permit scheme grant of van permit terms and conditions of use

  1. By accepting this Permit, you agree to be bound by and accept the following Terms and Conditions to use a BCP Recycling Centre.
  2. You are only allowed to bring items to a Recycling Centre that are in accordance with BCP’s site waste acceptance policy (as amended from time to time).
  3. You agree that you are not permitted to deposit commercial waste on or around a Recycling Centre.
  4. You agree to pay charges for any items that carry a charge to dispose of at a Recycling Centre e.g. tyres, plasterboard.
  5. You agree that you are required to make your Permit available for BCP staff to check on each visit you make to a Recycling Centre and to provide proof of your residency on each occasion.
  6. BCP is entitled to refuse the entry to a Recycling Centre of a driver of a vehicle, who does not hold a valid Permit.
  7. Each household is entitled to hold only 1 Permit at any one interval. For Sole Vehicle Permit holders, the vehicle must be the only vehicle registered at the household’s address.
  8. This Permit is valid only for the vehicle stated on the Permit. Any authorised member of your household or driver may visit the site with the vehicle using the valid Permit.
  9. There is a 1 tonne maximum weight limit on waste taken per visit per day for any and all vehicles in relation to each Permit.
  10. If more than 1 visit to a Recycling Centre is made in 1 day, each visit will be counted separately, and your Permit will be marked accordingly.
  11. A 'van' is defined as a vehicle with (a) a rear load-carrying capacity instead of seats and (b) panels to the rear of the vehicle instead of windows.
  12. Tipper vehicles, flatbed vehicles, box/Luton vans, horse boxes and agricultural vehicles will not be issued permits and will not be accepted onto any Recycling Centre.
  13. Drivers of vans, towing trailers and their associated vehicles are not permitted onto a Recycling Centre.
  14. This Permit will expire on the expiration of 6 visits (Sole Vehicle Permit) or 3 visits (Limited Entry Permit). The earliest date that an application can be made for a new Permit is 12 months prior to the issue date of the prevalent Permit.
  15. If you lose or damage this Permit, change your address and/or vehicle you’ll need to inform BCP by calling BCP (currently 01202 123123). You are not permitted to amend the Permit yourself. Defacing and/or amending the Permit will make the Permit invalid.
  16. Your Permit is not transferable and/or assignable to any other person (including if you sell your vehicle).
  17. The information that you provide BCP with will be used by BCP in relation to the delivery of these Services. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details as to how BCP will use your information.
  18. BCP reserves the right to cancel permits or amend the operation of the Recycling Centre Permit scheme uponproviding you with at least 28 days’ advance notice.
