"We have teams at the scene liaising with residents who have been evacuated and supporting the incident response.
"Council staff from Adult Social Care and Housing are supporting residents who need assistance with care needs, housing and access to medication.
"Poole Road is closed between St Michael’s roundabout and the Queen’s Road traffic lights and we are advising people to avoid the area. In the meantime, please use alternative routes and allow extra time for your journey."
