Following consultation with residents on how communal areas are managed, BCP Homes has introduced new guidelines outlining what is and isn’t allowed in these shared spaces.
The main points are:
- To improve fire safety and ensure escape routes are kept free and clear, no personal belongings should be stored in internal communal areas such as hallways, corridors, landings and lift areas
- Items found will be removed without notice and placed into storage for one month. A fee will be payable to BCP Homes for return of the items
- New guidance regarding the use of communal garden areas
