Residents are invited to ask Councillor Millie Earl, the Leader of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council questions during a live online event.

The question and answer (Q&A) session will be broadcast on BCP Council’s social media channels from 12midday on Wednesday 30 April.

The Leader will be joined by Cabinet Member for Children, Young People, Education and Skills, Cllr Richard Burton and the session will be focused on support for families locally.

Council Leader, Millie Earl, said: “I am looking forward to engaging with residents directly in this live Q&A session.“It’s a chance for me to listen to your concerns and answer any questions you have about the services we provide for children and families in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

“We are dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in our area. This live session is a great opportunity for us to discuss the ongoing work to ensure our community is a welcoming and family-friendly place to live and visit.”

A significant portion of the Council’s budget goes towards supporting local children and families, and this includes children’s social care, fostering and adoption, early years and schools, SEND, education, skills and apprenticeships.

During the session Cllr Earl and Cllr Burton will also talk about the plans to improve local playparks, and the brand-new soft play facility which has officially opened in Boscombe’s Kings Park Leisure and Learning Centre.

Questions can be submitted in advance of the live session on BCP Council’s social media channels.

There will also be the opportunity for people to ask questions during the Q&A within the comments section. As many of them as possible will be answered by Cllr Earl and Cllr Burton during the session.

The session will be broadcast across the council’s main social media channels including on youtube.com/bcpcouncil and is available to watch later for those unable to tune in live.
