Latest flood update from BCP Council and the Environment Agency

People living at Iford Bridge Home Park are returning home after flooding following Storm Eowyn and Storm Herminia.
Residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure on Monday due to rising flood levels.
Flood waters peaked about 8pm last night and are now receding, the Environment Agency have confirmed.
Councillor Andy Hadley, Cabinet Member for Climate Response, Environment and Energy at BCP Council, said:
"The Council has been notified that, following a safety inspection, residents who evacuated are now able to return to their homes.
“Electricity was restored to the site at around 9am this morning, having been switched off last night for safety reasons.
"I visited Iford Bridge Home Park yesterday evening to meet residents and the services who were supporting those living on site.
"I’d like to thank all the officers across BCP Council departments, our partners, including the Environment Agency and emergency services who helped keep everyone safe through this period.”

Following an update from the environment agency, the forecast for when flood waters are expected in the Iford Bridge Home Park area has been revised. Peak levels are now estimated to occur from 8/9pm this evening. Residents have been advised to evacuate for another night. Emergency services will respond to any issues emerging during the night as required.

BCP Council have been assisting local communities affected by flooding following Storm Eowyn and Storm Herminia.
Yesterday residents at Iford Bridge Home Park were advised to evacuate as a precautionary measure due to rising flood levels.
This morning (Tuesday) council officers are on-site at Iford Bridge Home Park to check that those residents who have chosen to remain in their homes are safe and supported.
The environment agency have revised their forecast for when flood waters are expected and now anticipate peak levels between 3pm and 5pm later today.
Councillor Andy Hadley, BCP Council’s Cabinet Member for Climate Response, Environment and Energy, said; “The council has been working closely with our partners at the Environment Agency to assist local communities affected by the recent storm.
“Our teams, have been supporting the emergency services, and responded swiftly to ensure residents have access to the help they need, following plans for such events.
“This is the second time that residents have been affected in recent months and we will continue to support residents today and in the coming days.”
