Staff at Highcliffe Castle are celebrating after the venue was awarded gold at the Dorset Tourism Awards 2021/22 for ‘Wedding Venue Of The Year’.
Highcliffe Castle is a majestic Grade 1 listed building situated in a stunning coastal location. The castle team have delivered amazing experiences for customers despite unprecedented circumstances in the pandemic.
Heritage Team Leader Katie Ingham said: "The team at the castle work extremely hard to deliver magical weddings for the couples who choose this picturesque venue and are delighted to receive this accolade.
"Couples can build their own unique story within this wonderful venue, and the memories created are treasured for years to come.
"It has been great to be part of the Dorset Tourism Awards this year and the team look forward to exciting times ahead."
Councillor Beverley Dunlop, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Vibrant Places said: "If you're dreaming of a romantic wedding on the coast in an historic setting it really doesn't get much better than this.
"My thanks and congratulations go to the dedicated team who truly deserve this award."

"Its wonderful coastal location and historical royal connections make it a perfect setting not only to celebrate one’s special day, but also treasure some memorable photos in the superb grounds and the Castle backdrop."

Highcliffe Castle is situated on the cliff top at Highcliffe, Dorset. Built in the 1830s it is described as being one of the most important surviving houses of the Romantic and Picturesque style of architecture.
