The Access to Food Partnership ‘Start Cooking’ book has top tips for food shopping, a guide to measurements and cooking terms, and a host of easy recipes. Families and individuals can try their hand at 45 meals in total, each designed to use limited and inexpensive ingredients.

Daisy Carr, Community Food Coordinator, said: “The recipe book is perfect for beginners, reluctant cooks, and families looking to try some different meals together.

“For now, limited copies have been printed and will be given out to individuals and families who regularly use food support and services. We hope to produce a second edition of the book, with photographs, later this year.”

Funded by the Access to Food Partnership, the cookbook was jointly produced by The Friendly Food Club, India Marney, and Dr Paul Fairbairn from Bournemouth University, with contributions from Access to Food partners.
