The 2019 UK Parliamentary Election results for the five constituencies that fall within the BCP Council area have been declared.

Acting Returning Officer, Graham Farrant, Chief Executive of BCP Council, co-ordinated the count and declared the results at the BIC in Bournemouth. The five constituencies are Bournemouth East, Bournemouth West, Christchurch, Mid Dorset and North Poole, and Poole.

The elected UK Members of Parliament for the five constituencies in BCP Council’s area (in bold), alongside the number of votes cast for each party or individual candidate are:

Bournemouth East

  • Ben Aston (has not provided an affiliation): 447
  • Corrie Drew – Labour: 16,120
  • Philip Dunn – Liberal Democrat: 5,418
  • Tobias Ellwood – Conservative: 24,926
  • Emma Johnson (Independent): 314
  • Alasdair Keddie – Green: 2,049

Bournemouth West

  • Simon Bull – Green: 2,096
  • Conor Burns – Conservative: 24,550
  • Jon Nicholas – Liberal Democrat: 4,931
  • David Stokes – Labour: 14,400

Christchurch

  • Christopher Chope – Conservative: 33,894
  • Mike Cox – Liberal Democrat: 9,277
  • Andrew Dunne – Labour: 6,568
  • Chris Rigby – Green: 2,212

Mid Dorset and North Poole

  • Natalie Carswell – Green: 1,330
  • Joanne Oldale – Labour: 3,402
  • Vikki Slade – Liberal Democrat: 14,650
  • Michael Tomlinson – Conservative: 29,548

Poole

  • Sue Aitkenhead – Labour and Co-Operative: 10,483
