Computer and coding clubs for children and young people

Children can learn the basics of computer programming at one of our Coding Clubs where they can make animations and games while learning new skills. No coding experience is required to join.

Sessions are free and you can book a place by contacting the library:

  • Christchurch Library has a club on the first Saturday of each month from 9:30am to 10:30am, for ages 3 to 10
  • Oakdale Library has a club every other Wednesday during term time, from 4pm to 5pm, for ages 7 to 11
  • Poole Library has a club on the last Saturday of each month, from 9:45am to 10:45am, for ages 4 to 11
  • Springbourne Library has a club on the third Saturday of each month, from 11am to midday, for ages 6 to 11

Parents or guardians need to stay with the child during the session.

If you’re aged 18 or over and are interested in helping to set up or run a code club, email libraryliteracyofficers@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.
