Established over 50 years ago, Sport Poole promotes and represents local organisations interested in sports and physical recreation.

The association also helps us by monitoring sports facilities within the Poole area.

Hosted by us and Sport Poole, and sponsored by Everyone Active leisure centres, these annual awards celebrate sporting success in the area.

Types of awards

Certificates of Commendation

Certificates of Commendation recognise any outstanding sporting achievements over the past year. They can be awarded to an individual or a team, provided they are resident in Poole or a member of a Poole-based club or school.

The Freddie Rowe Sports Cup

This highly regarded cup is awarded annually to one person for an outstanding sporting performance, long service to a club or for their contribution and dedication to a sport. The winner of the Freddie Rowe Sports Cup is decided by Sport Poole. See the list of past recipients.
