Exercise Referral Scheme

The Exercise Referral Scheme is a great way for people with long-term conditions to improve their health and increase levels of physical activity.

Your GP will be able to refer you to the scheme if you’re inactive, have a longstanding health condition and/or have a BMI over 30.

All patients are required to attend an initial assessment in the first week, followed by a review assessment in week 12 to measure progress.

Patients will also be given ongoing support to help them increase their weekly activity levels at one of the 2 participating leisure centres.

How to join

Your GP will refer you to the centre of your choice. You’ll then be contacted by the centre to book your initial assessment.

If you’ve chosen to exercise with Everyone Active, your initial assessment will be at Rossmore, although you can use all 3 Everyone Active centres after that.

After you’ve attended your initial assessment, you’ll be able to access a wide range of activities, both within the leisure centre and a community setting.
