Enjoy art in the gardens at one of the longest running open-air exhibitions in the country.
Set up over 60 years ago as Pine Walk, Westover Gardens Art and Makers Market is a popular place for artists to show their work, and for art lovers to browse, buy and discuss work with the artists.
The exhibition is open to artists creating work for all to enjoy, including photographers, digital artists, sculptors and painters working in a range of media.

Westover Gardens Art and Makers Market is on Pine Walk, Lower Gardens, Westover Road BH1 2BU.
Opening times
The market is open from Friday 17 May to Sunday 1 September on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 5pm.
It will also open on Bank Holiday Mondays between these two dates.
Showing your work
All types of art are considered for the exhibition space, read our Terms and Conditions.
You can email artandmakers@bcpcouncil.gov.uk to discuss your work and see how we can work with you in the space.
A BCP Council officer will visit the site each morning, lunchtime, and late afternoon to check the market bookings and pitches and provide support. All exhibitors should have their booking confirmations and proof of payment(s) ready, for spot checks.
New exhibitors
Exhibiting at the market is a real opportunity to grow and develop as an artist. Do not worry if you've not exhibited before as our more established artists will give you lots of valuable advice on how to present and sell your work.
Pricing
All prices include VAT.

Tickets must all be paid in advance and in full in one transaction. No refunds can be given. We do not accept payments by cash or cheque.
How to book
Before your booking is confirmed, We will need to check that space is available and arrange payment by card online or over the phone.
You can book your pitch in these easy steps:
- Complete our application form. Enter any pitch preference you have on this form*. Do not make payment at this stage
- Email the form to artandmakers@bcpcouncil.gov.uk and await confirmation of your space
- Once you have had your space confirmed, make your payment as instructed on the booking form. Make sure you add your surname/booked dates in the reference, so we can identify your payment.
Your booking is only confirmed/finalised once we have received your payment. Keep your proof of payment to hand for any market checks whilst exhibiting.
*We know that some people have preferences for pitches. We do our very best to cater for these - make sure you tell us your preferences on your booking form.
If you are not confident using the online payment function, please call the number on the booking form and you can pay by card over the phone.
