Slipways
There are several slipways from which boats and tenders can be launched within Christchurch Harbour and the two rivers feeding it.
Users should not rig and derig on slipways as this delays traffic flow during busy periods.
Mudeford Quay
- adjacent to the dinghy park and RNLI station, Christchurch BH23 4AB
- allows access to the lower harbour and The Run
- pay and display car park
- public toilets
- local shops
- can be very shallow at low tide
- can be very busy

Mayors Mead
- adjacent to The Captains Club, Wick Lane Christchurch BH23 1HU
- allows access to the River Stour and the upper harbour
- free trailer park (maximum 48 hrs)
- close to town centre and shops
- pay and display car park
- public toilets
- children’s play area and splash park (seasonal)
- can be very busy.
Wick Lane Bournemouth
- Bournemouth BH6 4AB
- located on the southern (Bournemouth) side of the River Stour between Tuckton Tea Gardens and Wick
- access to River Stour and Upper Harbour
- pay and display car park
- public toilets within a 5 min walk
- Wick Ferry adjacent to slipway, for access to the opposite bank of the river.
Bridge Street
- town centre location outside the civic offices, BH23 1AZ
- access to River Avon and upper harbour
- public toilets
- car parking at the leisure centre.
Stanpit Creek
- Argyle Road BH23 3NW
- limited local shops
- limited on-street parking.
