Report an unlicensed house in multiple occupation (HMO)

A licensable house in multiple occupation (HMO) is a property with five or more people who form two or more households. They could be living in separate rooms but share facilities, such as a kitchen or bathroom.

Before you report

View our licensed house in multiple occupation (HMO) register.

How to report

If the property you are looking for does not appear on the register, and you have evidence that it is occupied by five or more persons who are not related.

You can then report this to us by emailing privatesector.housing@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.
