Our strategy to reduce homelessness and rough sleeping is based around 3 core pillars:
- prevention of homelessness
- breaking the cycles of homelessness
- continued improvement of sustainable services
Each pillar contains multiple commitments and the outcomes we have achieved.

Key impacts
Some of the key impacts from implementation of our commitments have been:
- 67 single homeless accommodation homes
- 24 new temporary homes for families
- 60 RSAP (Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme) homes
- 70% reduction in emergency accommodation use in 6 months
- prevention hub activity in place in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
- low levels of people who return to rough sleeping
