If you're a landlord with properties in our area, we may be able to provide a property investment grant for renovations that improve the property's overall standards.
We pay up to 60% of the eligible renovation works in return for nomination rights of the property for 3 years. This means we match the property with a family or individual in need at a rent level no higher than 10% above local housing allowance levels.
If you’re not able to pay towards the renovation work, a grant may still be available, but the amount and nomination period will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
The maximum amount of the grant depends on the size of the property:
- studio flat: £1,500
- 1-bedroom property: £2,000
- 2-bedroom property: £2,500
- 3 or more-bedroom property: £3,000
- house of multiple occupancy (HMO) with 3 or more rooms: £3,000
