You can report your lost dog to us. We'll need to know:
- what your dog looks like
- where and when it was lost
- if your dog has a collar and tag
You can also report your lost dog by calling us on 01202 123 789.
Once you have made your report, you will be on a list that we will check each time we collect a stray dog or get a report that it has been seen. If we find your dog, we’ll call you. Please let us know if you find your dog so we can remove your dog’s details from the list.
You should also contact:
- other nearby councils, particularly if you live near council borders
- local rescue centres and vets
Collect your dog
If we find your dog and keep it safe, you will need to pay when you collect them from us. The fee may cover:
- the cost of collecting of the dog
- vaccination by a vet
- a kennel fee, which is charged each day that the dog is in the kennel
If you can't pay the fees, we can't release the dog to you.
