Integrated review at 2 years old

When a child is between 2 and 3 years old, their parents will get a questionnaire about their child's development. They are invited to a review with a health professional - usually a child's health visitor, or a community nursery nurse.

If the child also goes to some form of childcare such as a day nursery, preschool or childminder, the childcare provider will also offer the parents a meeting to talk about their child's learning development. After this discussion they will complete an EYFS 2-year old progress check.

The integrated review brings these two reviews together for a complete understanding of the child's development.

The government has guidance on how early years providers can complete this progress check.

We have a template and some guidance below on how early years professionals can create the review.
