We recently consulted with you about our plans for Boscombe and the surrounding area.

We asked for your views on our proposed changes to the Hawkwood Road area of the town (masterplan) and local transport schemes. Thank you so much for your responses, which we have considered and collated towards the next steps of the process.

We have now produced detailed business cases for the masterplan, local transport schemes and also the Royal Arcade. We will have timescales confirmed for the projects towards the end of 2023.

The masterplan for Boscombe town centre will be delivered in two phases. The first will be led by the Strategic Towns Fund Board making this a project led by the community, for the community. Phase two is a separate piece of work and will be delivered at a later date by the council’s urban regeneration company – FuturePlaces.

We launched a four week survey in 2020 to get your views on the draft vision for the Boscombe Towns Fund Regeneration Area. We asked what was important to you and what your priorities were for the area.

We had 547 responses to the survey. Take a look at the consultation report to see the results and findings.

You told us that you would like to see more green spaces, more family and affordable homes, a new community hub and improvements to cycle and pedestrian access.
