About our campaign
We are always looking for variety of care and support workers to support vulnerable people who need help. There are a range of jobs available now in a number of different settings.
Our Proud to Care campaign showcases what it's like to work as a carer in each of these settings, to give you an idea of what each job role involves.

Being a carer
Being a carer isn't about specific qualifications.
All you need are the right qualities such as:
- a patient nature
- a friendly face
- good communication skills
- and a desire to help people
Once you start your career, you'll often receive on-the-job training and ongoing support to enable you to get the most out of your job, and you'll be making a real difference to the everyday lives of the people you care for.
Being a care worker offers:

- flexible hours, creating an excellent home/work balance
- ongoing training
You do not need to drive or have your own car, we have walking routes where you can visit on foot near your home, or we can offer the loan of e-cycles. For those that can drive, companies may be able to offer parking permits.
