Pay your Housing Benefit overpayment

You can pay your housing benefit overpayment by Direct Debit, online or by phone.

Pay by Direct Debit

If you are a Bournemouth or Poole resident, you can pay by Direct Debit.

Christchurch residents are currently unable to pay by Direct Debit.

Bournemouth residents

Direct Debit payments can be set up for either the 1st or the 15th of each month.

Complete the Direct Debit form and email it to hboverpayments.bournemouth@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.

Alternatively, you can call us on 01202 128 884 to set up a Direct Debit.

Poole residents

Direct Debit payments are available on the 1st of each month.

Complete the Direct Debit form and email it to income@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.

Alternatively, you can call us on 01202 123 113 to set up a Direct Debit.

Pay online

You can make a secure debit or credit card payment online. You will need your Housing Benefit reference.

The payment will show on your bank statement as ‘Online payment BCP Council’.

Pay by phone

Call 01202 672 932 to make a secure debit or credit card payment on our 24-hour automated payment service. You will need your Housing Benefit reference.

Online banking or standing order

Arrange for your bank or building society to make regular payments to us. You will need our bank sort code and housing benefit reference:

  • account name: BCP Council - Income
  • sort code: 20-68-95
  • bank account number: 20627437
