Handyvan Service

24-7 Locks Ltd are delivering BCP Council's new Handyvan service. They have 3 vans and 3 Handypeople available to visit homes across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, tackling small adaptations and repair jobs.

Every minor repair or alteration needs to take under two hours to complete and may include work such as fitting grab rails, replacing light bulbs and fuses, securing fence panels and minor plumbing jobs. The service is free, but residents will need to cover the cost of materials. Priority bookings are available to prevent hospital admissions or to help following a hospital stay. 

To qualify for the service, residents need to be:

•    Aged 60+ or have a long-term condition or disability and be considered vulnerable

•    In receipt of means tested benefits or the following non-means tested benefits: Attendance Allowance, Carer's Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, or Personal Independence Payment

•    Rent or own their own home in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole
