Considered one of the best beaches in Britain, Sandbanks has won the prestigious Blue Flag award more than any other UK resort. The beach has soft, golden sands and breath-taking views.

The nearest train stations to Sandbanks are Parkstone (2.6 miles), Poole (2.9 miles) and Branksome (3 miles).

Cycling

There's little space for cycling at Sandbanks and there’s a long break in the promenade between Sandbanks and Shore Road.

Accessibility

The beach can be reached by ramp.

A beach accessible wheelchair is available on a first come, first served basis from Sandbanks beach office between May and September from 9:30am to 4:30pm (refundable £50 cash deposit required).

Mobi-Mat beach access matting in place from May to September.

Dogs

There is a designated all year-round  dog friendly beach area at the western end of Sandbanks promenade to Haven Point (near the chain ferry).

From 1 May to 30 September, dogs are not allowed on Sandbanks main beach and must be kept on a lead on the promenade and paths at all times. Remember to pick up after your dog.

You can have a disposable barbecue between 6pm and 10:30pm.

Open fires

Open fires are not permitted on any of our beaches at any time. You may be prosecuted if you attempt to light an open fire.

Camping

Camping is not permitted on any of our beaches at any time. You may be prosecuted if you attempt to camp anywhere along the seafront.
